I've taken a bit of a break from blogging lately but will return soon with some book reviews.
Don Miller has a wonderful way of blending everyday living and probing questions of doubt and and faith in a refreshingly honest and humorous manner.
Hunter's book has been hailed as a must-read by Scot McKnight and others, so I downloaded it onto my Kindle for PC program since I don't like to wait (Amazon Canada hadn't even released it yet!) and I don't like to spend more than necessary either. Not a bad deal for $ 17!
Hunter is challenging many of my own assumptions when it comes to the question how change happens, so it is both intellectually stimulating and also very readable even for someone who is not into academic books per se!
And btw, I will still keep reviewing McLaren's latest book. I just want to take enough time formulating my own alternative proposal to each of his answers before I proceed. And the question of the overarching biblical narrative is too important to be treated sloppily.
So stay tuned!
