I was preaching on God as a judge this morning. I really wasn't sure whether the message would get across that judgment is both an intrinsic part of God's goodness and at the same time fulfilled and overcome by grace at the focal point of the cross. The last part that dealt with not becoming judges or continuing to be judgmental in our own lives was a message directed as much at myself as it was at the congregation. I went through some painful stuff this week which I don't want to expand on; let's just say it was not easy to forgive and let go. Today I'm just happy to feel alive and free and I'm grateful for all the good gifts God has placed in my lap. Thank you, Jesus!
