Let me get one thing straight right from the start: prayer, IMHO, is a very personal conversation between us and God, and no matter how publicly or privately this conversation takes place, we have no business judging it or having discussions on what content may or may not be included at any given situation. Having said that, I'd still like to express that I appreciated Rick Warren's prayer for President Obama. I thought it was sincere, appropriate and really brought home the awesome task before the new president and the great need for humility, wisdom and our continuing prayers for him. What Warren prayed for Obama, describes the urgent need of all of us who are in positions of leadership: " ... the wisdom to lead with humility, the courage to lead with integrity, the compassion to lead with generosity!"
